When talking about the great games of our time, you can mention some of them, but a list will never be complete unless it is infinite. If you include ranking, then people will go crazy about why one game is higher or lower than another.
Here is a list of some of the most iconic video games and please try not to be offended if some of the games are not on the list.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt
Some call this a sightseeing game, others an amazing RPG and why can’t it be both? This game will have you assume the position of Geralt of Rivia, Witcher, monster hunter. He also kills humans, for which he has a steel sword, whereas the silver is for the monsters. It has great gameplay, great graphics, great immersion, as well as an amazing soundtrack.
Skyrim the Immortal (The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim)
It is dubbed the immortal because Bethesda keeps releasing new Skyrim games every 5 or so years. After the Special Edition in 2015, we got a VR edition and finally on November 11, 2021, we will get a Skyrim Anniversary edition, which will bring us new gameplay elements such as fishing, as well as new quests. The Elder Scrolls VI have a steep mountain to climb.
Zelda Games
Zelda or the Legend of Zelda, are some of the most iconic games that you can play.
They are RPG games which follow Link as he tries to battle evil and get the girl, obviously. It is more complicated than that, but it should be a fun series to explore as are most jRPGs.
Super Mario Franchise or Sonic the Hedgehog Franchise
Mario games are aplenty, from 2D platformers to 3D platformers to racing games like Mario Kart. Take your pick and you are likely to find something in the Mario world which will be to your liking. Note that SEGA has a rivalling Sonic franchise, which you might enjoy more if you are a fan of really fast hedgehogs.
Sports Games – FIFA, FIBA, NHL, NFL
Sports games like the ones mentioned above, are somewhat underrated in the gaming world. People love playing them but they are definitely not popular as streaming games.
They are iconic in every way, mostly because they have been around for at least 25 years. Choose your favorite sport and game away.
Grand Theft Auto Series
The GTA series of games are amazing in the sense that they provide you with a somewhat realistic way of living in the modern world, with lots of violence and very bad driving habits. The GTA series takes us through the shoes of many protagonists during the 60s, 80s, 90s, 2000s and 2010s. A great soundtrack and many funny and satirical missions make the GTA series very loved among fans.
